🎵Storytelling Through Song is a one-week camp for students ages 7 and up, designed to strengthen acting skills while singing. Throughout the week, campers will work on 1-2 songs, developing their ability to convey emotion, character, and storytelling through music. Through engaging exercises and performance techniques, they will build their acting toolbox, transforming from “park and bark” singers into dynamic singing actors. The camp focuses on bringing songs to life with authenticity and stage presence, helping each student grow as a performer. This class will culminate in a performance for friends and family!

College Audition Prep

Are you preparing for college musical theatre auditions or just looking to take your performance skills to the next level? College Audition Prep Camp is the perfect place for high school performers to gain confidence, refine their technique, and learn how to stand out in auditions! Campers will work on selecting strong audition materials, practicing monologues and songs, and developing both solo and group performance pieces for an exciting end-of-camp showcase. In addition to audition prep, we’ll explore creative movement and theatre techniques to help performers connect with their material in new and exciting ways. Plus, we’ll incorporate elements of musical revues and Beat by Beat productions for a well-rounded theatre experience. Whether you’re getting ready for college auditions or want to grow as a performer, this camp will provide the skills, insight, and confidence you need to shine on stage!

Always Auditioning
Young Actors Audition Prep!

Auditions are a part of every actor’s journey—so why not master them? Always Auditioning is a summer camp designed to help young performers ages 8+ build confidence, sharpen their skills, and learn how to stand out in any audition room. Campers will work on cold reading, monologue delivery, character development, and stage presence through fun, interactive exercises and mock auditions. Whether you’re preparing for school, community, or professional theatre, this camp will give you the tools to own the audition and land the role! This class will culminate in a MOCK AUDITION for actors to put their skills to the test!

Calling all aspiring actors ages 10 and up! Acting 101 is the perfect summer camp for those looking to build confidence, explore characters, and develop essential performance skills. Through fun theatre games, improvisation, scene work, and monologues, campers will learn the fundamentals of acting in a supportive and creative environment. Whether you’re new to the stage or looking to sharpen your skills, this camp will help you bring characters to life and perform with confidence. Join us for a summer of creativity, storytelling, and fun! The week culminates in a lively showcase on Friday where family and friends can experience the actors hard work.

Step into a world of creativity and music at our Pure Imagination Musical Theatre Camp! Perfect for young performers, this exciting camp brings together songs from beloved Broadway Junior® musicals, including Seussical, Shrek The Musical, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, and more. Throughout the week, students will build confidence, learn essential musical theatre skills, and explore storytelling through song and movement. Whether they’re new to the stage or looking to grow as performers, campers will have a blast bringing these iconic songs to life. The week culminates in a lively showcase where family and friends can experience the magic of Pure Imagination!

The Grunch
Musical Theatre Camp

Get ready for a fun and festive adventure in this holiday-inspired musical theatre camp based on The Grunch! This camp follows Rudy Grunch, a grumpy 6th grader who feels like an outsider, as he hatches a plan to ruin his school’s big musical. But when his scheme to steal the sets, costumes, and lights takes a twist, the spirit of theatre may just change everything! Campers will work together to bring this quirky, heartwarming story to life through acting, singing, and creative set and costume design. The camp will culminate in a final performance where all the hard work pays off, and the spirit of theatre and teamwork prevails! Perfect for young performers who want to create, perform, and be part of a magical holiday show! This class will culminate in a performance for friends and family!

Alice in Wonderland
Technical Theatre Camp

Ages 10+
Step into the world of theatre magic at our Alice in Wonderland Technical Theatre Camp! This immersive, hands-on camp giving students ages 10 + chance to explore both performance and behind-the-scenes production. Campers will reimagine Alice in Wonderland by writing their own version of the story, creating original songs, and bringing it to life with costumes, props, set design, lighting, sound, special effects, and more. Whether on stage, behind the scenes, or both, students will gain experience in stage management, theatre safety, scenic painting, and even designing a show poster. Throughout the week, they’ll play theatre games, learn about theatre traditions and superstitions, and collaborate to create an unforgettable production. The camp culminates in a Friday performance where family and friends can see all their hard work come to life in a one-of-a-kind show! This class will culminate in a performance for friends and family!
*Please Note: WIMA/WIHI will most likely begin school this week! Please dont sign up for this camp if you plan to attend WIMAA/WIHI school as their school year will start before this camp ends!

Perfect for performers of all experience levels, this camp will teach the essential dance techniques and styles used in Broadway-style choreography. Campers will learn how to move with confidence, tell stories through dance, and master audition-ready routines, all while having fun in a high-energy, supportive environment. Whether you’re looking to improve your stage presence or prepare for your FALL musical auditions, this camp will help you dance like a true triple threat!

All Camps take place at 328 Harriet St. Ypsilanti
All campers should bring a water bottle & Snack. Campers in full day camps should bring a lunch every day.
Campers should wear comfortable clothing and bring sunscreen if needed as we will go outside for lunch!

Camp Cancellation Policy
The following policy will be used when a client cancels their purchase:
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the Camp Director megan@pytmi.com. Cancellations submitted by the deadline will be refunded according to the table below. No refunds will be issued the week of camp without a physician’s note for illness or injury.
30 days or more prior to start of camp = 75% Refund
7-29 days prior to the start of camp = 25% Refund
1-6 days prior to the start of camp = No Refund
