WHO
Youth K-12 and their FAMILIES! Youth are welcome to audition with their family members or by themselves.
*All adults must have a PYTMI child k-12 to audition
WHAT
Each summer we would like to offer our PYTMI actors (past and present!) and their families an opportunity to work on a production TOGETHER! We are a YOUTH theatre company and therefore, our focus year round and preference in casting for this summer production will go to youth actors...adult actors are welcome in this once a year opportunity! This summer will produce with our PYTMI families and alumni actors The Addams Family-FULL SHOW!

*Video auditions WILL be accepted and should be emailed to megan@pytmi.com before July 8th @9pm!
HOW
Each actor will prepare 1 min of a musical theatre song and be given a short "cold reading" scene in the audition room to show your acting abilities! If more acting or singing is needed, actors will be asked to read additional monolgues or scenes or sing for additional parts. Songs should be from a musical and can be from The Addams Family Musical. If you would like to sing with a karaoke youtube video or track, please come prepared with that info for us to pull up for you! No live accompanist will be on site! You are also welcome to sing accapella or use your own device to play your music.

-CASTING: ONE cast of actors K-12 and their families will fill out this amazing cast for this fun in a dark comedy way show! The Addams Family will rehearse Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday eveneing 6-9pm. Actors wil be called as needed and longer rehearsal sundays will be on the schedule for August! A full calendar will be provided at the auditions. Please come with a list of your families conflicts from July-Sept 5. The Addams Family will perform one weekend Sept 5-8 at the Riverside Arts Center in Ypsilanti!
-PARENT MEETING-1 parent will be required to attend the PARENT MEETING July 11th 6-7pm
-FIRST REHEARSAL- read/sing thru with cast will be after the parent meeting 7-9pm
Rehearsals will be Tue/Wed/Thur evenings 6-9PM
* If you are not available MOST OF these days for rehearsals and ALL OF TECH week, please do not audition. Occasional vacations and missing a few rehearsal will be understandable and we will work around! Although this is a Summer schedule show, we will need AS MUCH rehearsal time as possible! LONG DAY REHEARSALS will be scheduled for August 3 & 17 10am-3pm
All Addams Family activity will be held at 328 Harriet St Studios until Tech Week when we move into the Riverside Arts Center!
*Casting and its components, cast size will be is all dependent on the number of auditionees and availibilty. PYTMI reserves the right to make changes as needed and finilized casting will be announced on or before July 10th. PYTMI reserves the right to limit casting where needed.

Songs from Addams Family are welcome but not required
ACTING AUDITIONS
Actors will be asked to read from The Addams Family script during the adution slot. If we want to hear or see more we will ask actors to do so when we see them.

July 7 come to 328 Harriet St. any time between 1-4pm or 6-9pm OR Monday July 8 6-9pm. Actors and their families should come together and only need to attend one day. Come early and be seen first! Be prepared to wait! We will take auditionees in order they arrive. Actors can audition alone or with their families! Youth Actors will be given preference for main roles as we are a youth theatre company!
