Frozen Jr. auditions are for performances December 4-6th OR December 11-13th

Frozen Jr. will perform December 4-6 AND Dec 11-13. Everyone who auditions in person will be cast in ONE of the casts in your preferred weekend.

We are separating auditions to better organize the preferences of performance weekends. We cannot honor casting request outside of this so please sign up with your friends/carpool etc for the same preferred rehearsal day/performance weekend. We cannot guarantee you will be in the same cast as your friends but everyone will be cast in their preferred weekend. We cannot change casts after the list is published. Actors will be asked to accept or decline their casting once we email the casting list to everyone. Actors must accept or decline their role before the parent meeting for their cast. 

Actors Participation fee is $325. Scholarships and payment plans are always available! 

Please be prepared to fill out a digital audition form at auditions and upload your headshot or recent pic and resume if you have one. No hard copies will be accepted. Everything must be submitted digitally. Please also be prepared to list ALL of your conflicts from September 21-December 13th.

*ONLY ABCENCES LISTED ON YOUR AUDITION FORM WILL BE ACCEPTED.  If you have a conflict that cannot be avoided, please list it on your conflict calendar and we will use this information for casting. We will have to remove actors from the cast who have 2 or more unexcused absences, so please choose your preferences with care and consideration. NO additional conflicts will be accepted after your form is submitted so please be certain of your conflicts before auditions and choose a rehearsal/performance calendar that works best for your family.

-Cast A & B (First weekend performance dates Dec 4-6) will rehearse MON/WED/SUN* and perform either 6:00 or 8:00 Friday December 4, 12:00 or 2:00 Saturday Dec 5, 6:00 or 8:00 Saturday night and 12:00 or 2:00 Sunday Dec 6.  

-Cast C & D (Second weekend performances dates Dec 11-13) will rehearse TUE/THUR/SUN* and perform either 6:00 or 8:00 Friday Dec 11, 12:00 or 2:00 Saturday Dec 12, 6:00 or 8:00 Saturday night and 12:00 or 2:00 Sunday, Dec 13.  

*Sunday rehearsals will be used as needed. More info about this will be given at the parent meeting

-Sunday, Sept 13 Auditions slots are for CAST A/B preference December 4-6 Performance ONLY 

-Monday, Sept 14 Auditions slots are for CAST D/C December 11-13 Performance preference ONLY 

-Tuesday, Sept 15 Audition slots are for No weekend performance preference (ANY weekend works!)

*If you have no preference of performance weekend, you may sign up for any of the audition slots

*We will re-ask you your weekend preference at auditions to make sure you are in the correct casting group. If you say No preference, we will not be able to switch your weekend once it is decided so please be sure you are good with both weekends in case you are cast in 1 or the other. 

PLEASE NOTE! We will NOT switch performers in casts once they are decided so please be ABSOLUTELY SURE you are auditioning for the correct weekend performances. You will not be able to choose which cast (A/B, C/D) but will be rehearsing on the same days (C/D -TUE/THUR, A/B -MON/WED so carpooling can still happen but you have to be in the same grouping so be sure to audition on the same day (Maybe even the same slot??)

ACTING & SINGING AUDITION

During acting and singing auditions will see 2 actors per slot. Actors are asked to prepare 30-60 seconds of a musical theatre song in the style of the character they are auditioning for. Please be prepared with singing AND ACTING in your song. We want to see you PERFORM it! The music tracks can be played by us from youtube or you can bring your own device to play your music. We only need to hear YOU. 

We will have scenes in the audition room and ask the pair to read from one or two scenes to further show your acting skills.

Parents are NOT permitted in the audition room. 2 actors will audition per slot 

OPTIONAL DANCE AUDITION

OPTIONAL Dance Auditions will happen at 5:00 on all 3 days (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday) No previous dance experience is required! No sign up is required! Just dress comfortably, show up, and have fun! This will not be mandatory to attend but is an additional chance for you to show us what you GOT! 

Please arrive NO EARLIER then 5 min to your time slot to avoid too much congestion in the waiting room. We anticipate a lot of traffic in the parking lot and the building for this event so please arrive for your slot only. Thank you for your cooperation with this as it will be a fun challenge for us all during rehearsals as well. 

We will announce casting before Sunday Sept 20th via email

A MANDATORY in person parent meeting will be Monday, Sept 21 6:00 for Cast A & 7:00 for Cast B and Tuesday, Sept 22nd at 6:00 for cast C & 7:00 for Cast D. Rehearsals will start Sept 23rd at 328 Harriet St. More info at auditions! 

Most importantly...HAVE FUN! We want to make this a low pressure, fun and enjoyable audition process! We welcome all new to PYTMI actors, veterans and first time performers all the same!
